Bike EXIF

In some intricately spun web of the interwebs I came across this site.  It is well worth checking out, the link below guide you to a beautifully minimulest motorcycle, that I wish was in my garage.
Yamaha SR500 tracker

My first couple of bikes were Yamaha's and though I don't ride one at the moment I do have deep down compulsion to own one again someday.  A nice SR500, XT500 or a SRX6 would be most satisfying.

See you on the road.

The SRX series were my favorite bikes when they came out. I had my eye on a SR600 new in the showroom but 2 or 3 years old stock. It was beautiful but back then they didn't sell. My friend purchased a used XT500 which I had in my garage for over 2 years, but didn't ride it more than a couple of times.
Recently there was an SRX600 for sale up here for around $3K and I was very tempted . . .

I remember a SRX collecting dust in my local dealer during the mid to late 80's, but I was in my financially poor youth.

I still love to watch the James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only" just for the scenes with the studded XT500's.

I have a daily eBay search set up for "Yamaha SRX". If I ever find the perfect one I don't know how I will conceal it from my wife, two's enough she says.

Store it up here (in British Columbia). Fly up, ride, and fly home. I'll keep it exercised in-between. Tell her it's cheaper than renting, then one day it will make it "home" .
